HARENA 2 was a simple but efficient simulation tool which helped us a lot to quickly evaluate resonnance risks or decide detuning reactors need and type, in simple configuration.
I really would like that our BU spend some resources to up-date or re-develop a similar tool which was really good to explain / convince customers for the need of Detuning reactors / Passive or Active Harmonic filters. It also helped a lot internally to explain the Harmonic problems.
It would be good that an up-dated version include both PFC and Harmonics calculations, with 1 or more incoming Transformers, ...
What do you think?
Completely agree and even better to include industry harmsol features as well.
Good idea !
Unfortunately we don't have HARENA update or new development in the pipeline as of today.
Nevertheless we can take the inputs from the people requesting on how this tool can help win more business (although your explication was already really clear ... any business figures to send me ? )
I dispose of two programs for simulation. Both called "Harmonique", one developped by EDF (year ~2005) and one developped by Schneider France CEAT (year <2000).
These are general software and not connected to our offer. I can dimension a batterie or filter and see the influence on the network, but I don't know if Schneider is capable of constructing.
Harena could it help me with that? In that case I would be interested
