Windows 11 on ARM has advanced considerably and most software that was designed for x86/x64 can now be successfully run on it, including Codesys and LogicLab. An exception is when the software has been explicitly instructed not to install or run on that platform.
Due to the increasing prevalence of ARM-based PC and Mac computers, allowing software to run on ARM based Windows--even if not officially supported in that capacity--would enable customers to more quickly evaluate design options and make edits to projects when an x86/x64 PC is not immediately to hand.
When trying to install EcoStruxure Machine Expert - Basic V1.3 on Windows 11 ARM (running under VMWare Fusion on my MacBook Air M3) I get the following error below when trying to install it. This has slowed my ability to evaluate the M221 for a project. I am making a feature suggestion that future versions change the installer behavior so as not to deliberately prevent installation on Windows ARM.
