Machine Expert - Different PLC Firmware

On the Machine Expert, Is it possible to download the program to a PLC with a lower firmware, without upgrading the firmware ?

How to do it ?

In Machine Expert Basic / Control Expert, we can choose the PLC firmware that we will use.

Hello Rudi,

in EcoStruxure Machine Expert the firmware versions for devices are linked and recommended to use with Machine Expert version(s).
These recommended firmware versions are coming with the installer for Machine Expert.
Depending on firmware version and device type (M2xx, PacDrive LMCxxx,...) it might work to install a specific older firmware in Machine Expert and download an application to a device with an older firmware without upgrading the firmware of the device.
Anyhow this depends on the specific case and is not the recommended way of working.
