SHD2 Specification sheet - 2 years warranty and outdoor mounting

Hi

Question abut SHD2 Specification sheet.

1) There is information about limited warranty. What is subject for 2 years warranty? It is entire device or sensor or measuring properties?  Capture.PNG

2) Second question. Is it supported to mount SHD2 on duct but on outdoor duct in outdoor conditions? IP ratings suggest that it is supported but in mounting location is "For indoor use only. Not suitable for wet locations". A lot of HVAC equipment is mounted on roof.

Point 1:

Schneider Electric’s warranty for Transactional Products does not cover:

  • Damage caused by accidents or unauthorized modification;
  • Damage resulted from product not used in the conditions specified in the Schneider Electric product catalogue/ manual

A Product is under warranty when the duration of ownership by the customer has not exceeded the agreed upon warranty period and defect observed is directly attributable to Schneider Electric.

Schneider Electric is responsible for the cost of repair/ replacement if the product does not comply with the intended characteristics stated in Schneider Electric’s product catalogue/ manual or with international product standards, whether due to:

  • A deviation in the manufacturing process, a supplier origin defect or a design flaw;
  • An error in specification, choice, installation, implementation or startup made by Schneider Electric;
  • A lack of proper information/ training on installation and usage of the products.

Point 2:

The 0 to 50 deg C is for SCD2. The SHD2 we specify for -35 to 60 deg C but for indoor application only. The probe is not sealed to prevent any condensation impacting the main unit. The SHO2 is specified for outdoor application but it’s a wall mount sensor.
