TM172PDG28SI (Custom protocol exchange(parsing) over RS-485)

Dear developers,

Is there any TM172PDG28SI's ability for RS-485 Exchanging over custom protocol?

What I mean:

1) There is one device with rs-485 interface and custom protocol implementation in it. Packages is very primitive and parsable

2) So there is one PLC TM172PDG28SI with two free RS-485 interfaces

3) In PLC's IDE every RS-485 can be configured only for ModBus protocol. 

4) IDE's functions also may working only with ModBus.

So, Is the ability for custom protocol exchanging over RS-485

Yes that is possible. Look in ESME HVAC for the sysUART function in Target blocks

with this function you could create a communication via Serial line.
