Hello,
I am using a expansion module TM172E28R on a TM172PDG42R controller with Machine Expert - HVAC software.
I have setup my controller and software exactly like in this video from Schneider: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyJA31G2yQk&list=PLa7UGrWOTyjlgMo0lD4eVCV0zFQYxbLoa&index=7
I have setup up the controller as Can-Bus Master address 125 and the TM172E as slave address 1, also the dip switches are set (4-5-6 all off), the dip switcdh number one is on and is the EOL resistor.
I have also added a 120 Ohm resistor on the Can-Bus terminal from the M172P.
Somehow i cannot get the Master running with the slave running.
The sys variables for the CANbus communication is all zero.
I also have a input from the expansion module in my watch and its always false (voltmeter shows me 24VDC).
Is there anything what I can try else? Or is there a setting i need to set that is not in the manual?
The Firmware of TM172P is "596.10".
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Regards,
Michael

Did you made a download all? Only in that case the CONNEC.PAR which is used for the communication will be downloaded. On the expansion is near the CAN Port a LED. Is this LED flashing? What is the status of sysCANopenNodeStauts[3]?

Thanks for your help, that LED was not flashing, it was a wire mistake on the bus.
It works now.

Hello, I have the same problem. The configuration is the same. I checked target variables related to CAN communication and it is not working. The PLC (TM172PD28R) and expansion module (TM172E28R) are in diffent cabinets and powered by two different DC power supply (ABL2REM24015K). The cable is cappable to transmit RS485 signal (120 carateristic impedance) and the distance is about 50m. I connect the Gnd shield to both end (PLC and controller), set dip switch 1 of expansion module to ON to activate EOL resistor and put a 120Ohm resistor in PLC side between L and H. The led in the expansion module flash for a moment at power on and then stay on. I tried 250Kbps and 125Kbps without success. Am I missing something in the configuration?.
