Hello.
I am looking for instructions on how to properly migrate from EPAS-4 v24 to SoMachine Logic Builder V4.4 Motion (migration from PacDrive M to PacDrive 3).
I am particularly interested in materials related to programming, changes in nomenclature, proper replacement of function blocks, functions, naming convensions etc.

Hi,
EPAS-4 and Machine Expert (SoMachine) share only the same basic foundation; however, there are significant differences in their libraries and functions.
Each software environment operates with its own device-specific libraries.
There is no migration tool available for converting an EPAS-4 project to Machine Expert. In addition, the Machine Expert interface does not list older PacDrive M servo drives by default.
This does not mean that conversion is impossible; however, a large portion of the project would need to be adapted manually. The positive aspect is that many coding structures used in EPAS-4 can also run within Machine Expert with some adjustments.
For an accurate, machine-specific evaluation, it is recommended to have the project analyzed by Schneider Electric service support personnel.
Best Regards
