Hi
I have an M221 constantly in stop mode (LED PWR is, LED RUN blinking).
When i try to start the PLC from the software EME-B, i'm getting this message : " Controller cannot change operating mode at this stage. Verify that its application is appropriate and the Run/Stop switch or input is in the correct position."
Knowing that I've tried to change the startup mode also but I'm still getting the same problem.
Thank you

Have you checked the physical run/stop switch is all the way in the run position (not stuck part way)?
The other possibility is an issue in the application, can you run your application in simulation?

Hi @SESA684086 ,
As @trowe mentioned it could be the Run/Stop switch located under the coder shown in the page 67 and 68 of the Hardware Manual:
Otherwise it could be that you have assigned a digital input to be the run/stop. This can be check on the "Configuration" tab then select "Digital inputs" and check if in the column "Run/Stop" any of the digital inputs is check for this.
Best regards,
LeTomas

Thank you for your replies.
I have checked the Start/Stop switch, and it appears to be correct. I then suspected that the switch itself may be defective, so I configured an Input as Run/Stop. However, this solution did not work either.
I've tested on one line code, very simple, and it does work on simulation mode.
Best regards,

Speaking of this switch... Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the run/stop switch using a system bit or a special function block?
