Hi,
Has anyone experience the following and know how to prevent it from occurring?
When re-ordering elements within a DDT Structure in the DDT Data Editor the comment of the element that is moved disappears.

The response I got on this topic (case nr: 67577823):
This is scheduled to be correct in Control Expert V15.0

Hi @Anonymous user ,
My DDT editor does not behave the same as your's at all - when dragging elements of the DDT around, Control Expert actually makes copies of the elements. It does not reorder the elements.
However, those copies do not contain the comments of the element original elements.
See my video attached

Hi @MarkPitout,
Clicking and dragging items will duplicate items.
Pressing shift before releasing the mouse button will instead move items.

Okay. Did the shift-release thing - my Unity behaves the same as yours (comments are removed from the variable once moved).
I'll see if I can raise a ticket for this - given that this behavior isn't critical to how a PLC runs the code, I don't expect it will be high on the developers list of priorities. But let me raise it none the less. perhaps it will be sorted in a future hotfix or release

Hi @MarkPitout,
Correct it doesn't affect the behaviour of the PLC code however, from a development point of view it reduces productivity as you need to re-add comments if a change is made.

Hi @MarkPitout,
I've just tried this in Control Expert V15.0 SP1 and the issue has not been resolved.

Hi @Anonymous user,
Sadly you are correct - the bug is still there. I reproduced it myself in V15.0 this morning.
BTW I no longer work at Schneider Electric - I now work at a system integrator. But, one of my ex-colleagues at Schneider did contact me about this thread today - hopefully the software developers will look into it for the next hotfix or service pack.
