Control Expert 15.1 failed to find a license

Hello,

I have permanent Control Expert 15.1 license, time on time I receive a message that no license available, I tried to return the license then delete the files in "C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet" folder then install the license, it will work for some time and as long as CE is running, but if we close CE and re-launch it , the same problem raise again.  I have  to repeat the same procedure or simply restart the PC to get a valid license again.

Any idea how we can resolve this issue for good?

Thanks

  • I think I would have updated to latest V15.x to start with, that is V15.3. All 15.x is included in a V15 license. Then make sure you run the latest licensing management software available through Schneider's Update software. (V15.3 is not in there, you have to download the iso separately)

Did you try the "Repair" button?

Hello @AhmadHouhou

Could you share us any screenshoot of the license Manager and the popup of CE15 that asks to license? Which Version of LM do you have?

Hello Richard,

Thanks for your reply.

I have re-activated the software and until now it is still working and can't capture the error, but the message was "control expert failed to find a valid license"

Please find below LM screenshot.

Best Regards

Ahmad

Not sure how a "alliance softpack" work but mine say version "15" which means all 15.x versions. You have "2022" which looks like a year to me. Is this licens still valid 2025? Maybe "alliance softpack" is issued per year?

It is permanent license, I guess it is valid for all 15.x versions regardless of the year, we will need another license for version 16.x

hello @AhmadHouhou

Here we have several issues.

The CE15 license is valid for all other versions 15.0,15.1,15.2, and 15.3
For the alliance pack version you should have a CE15.x license
The part number is correct EUSL22CZZTPTZZ
The only thing I can see is that there is something wrong with the installation of the Floating License Manager / License Manager or the Expert Control. Remember you must have LM and FLM both software

If not, contact SRC via email so they can verify the CE versions that your license ID has, but I am sure that you have CE15.x

On the other hand, it would be nice to see the error

I'm attaching the links of LM and FLM

Thanks, Ricard, for your reply.

I uninstalled CEV 15.1 and installed CEV 15.3. It worked for some time, but the same issue occurred again.

I then installed LM V3.0 and activated the CE, but the license was unavailable, and I received the following error. After restarting the PC, the CE was activated.

Now, I will wait for some time, and if the same issue arises again, I will contact the SRC.

Best regards

Looks like you have floating license and not node locked. Is your floating license server on the same machine where you try to use Control Expert?
