Hello,
I am having difficulties implementing TeSys U motor starter with safety PLC to ensure that no motor actuation is possible in case of a E-stop activation. I considered cutting coil COM with safety signal, but I am not sure if this is considered Safe. From design documentation it seemed to me, that this is easily achieved when using a hybrid starter, but no clear example is provided for all in one motor starter in documentation. In example provided below -K80.1 is controlled with safety output.
Example 1.

The question is which safety level you want to reach. A Hybrid starter Tesys H has in my opinion always a higher safery level then one Tesys Ultra. So far I understand in a Tesys H are two contacts in row. If you want reach the same with Tesys U you need one Tesys U and and one Tesys D. But at first you need to check which safety level is needed regarding to your risk assessment.
