OPC UA and M172

Is there a project under development to have OPC UA in the M172 ?
Do you have a "roadmap" about M172 products and EcoStruxure HVAC ?

Hi,

it will be available in the M172 Next Gen...not before end of 2024, beginning 2025.

This year the news will be related to the new M171O, Secure Interface and BACnet improvements on M172.

If you need OPC UA, then combine the TM172 with a HMIST6. The HMIST6 series support OPC UA very well, so far you use the professional license of Operator Terminal Expert. 

If you don´t want to touch your visualisation you could use HMIST6MBOX as gateway Modbus RTU/TCP to OPC UA. This HMI Gateway box has also the Webserver license integrated. This means you could built with Operator Terminal Expert a visualisation which is useable as webserver.

Through ESME HVAC you could export all Modbus related values easily in the right format to Operator Terminal Expert to reuse all variable names and to get easy access to everything you need.

Unfortunately some projects are late, during 2025 we will complete the launch of TM173O models (Flush mounting launched few weeks ago) and we will have improvements on TM172SIG functionalities like direct connection to Aveva
