Black bars on M172PDG18R HMI on power off

I have an M172PDG18R in the field that on power off, would display the following image.

I have not seen this on any other device. What does it mean?

If the bars are present even during the boot phase, I think the plc is damaged.

I suggest to return it for analysis (if it is still under warranty)
