Server Startup Log File

📖 Home  Back
Server Startup log files record information about the startup of the ClearSCADA server. This information is captured in its own set of log files so that the startup information is not lost as the standard DB log files roll over after a period of operation of the server.

This facility was first made available in ClearSCADA 2007 R0.

The startup log files capture information such as:

  • synchronization

  • licence validation

  • logging options

  • server setup (from the registry)

  • database class structures

  • driver start sequences

  • web server initialization

  • initialization of historic and event journal

  • database integrity check results

  • a database summary as below.

Database Summary:
19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Database Summary:19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Object Map Size 51219-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Object Index 37919-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Object Count 18219-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Total Size of Objects 54623619-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Historic Count 819-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Historic Raw Summary:19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C File Count 2719-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Record Count 24124019-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Total KBytes 753819-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Historic Modified Summary:19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C File Count 019-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Record Count 019-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Total KBytes 019-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Historic Annotation Summary:19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C File Count 019-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Record Count 019-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Total KBytes 0

The startup log file should finish as follows:
19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C [START] Log 'Started' Event19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C [START] Clean Up19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 036C Startup sequence complete - switching to main log file-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Logging stopped at 19-FEB-2007 13:00:43.953 (UTC)

The startup log file is available in the same location as the DBServer Logs and is subject to the same settings. That is, files will wrap around at the same point, have the same file prefix, be available in the same location etc. The startup log is also available from the server icon context menu.
