📖HomeBack In some cases, report which appears correctly inside the Crystal Reports application may not be displayed as expected from within ViewX.
Some of the symptoms of this problem are as follows:
When displaying the report in ViewX, the fonts appeared similar to Wingdings fonts.
Copying text from the report in ViewX to notepad copied the data in readable text.
Report generates and displays correctly within Crystal environment.
Viewing the report from another machine displays correctly.
The incorrect display of the report may be due to the default printer driver installed on the machine where the report is being displayed incorrectly. Since Crystal Reports obtains Windows font information different to many other Windows applications, there is a possibility that support for font text metrics will not be handled correctly.
To solve the problem, setup a different printer as the default printer, or try upgrading to the latest version of the printer driver.
One printer where this problem has been seen is a Kyocera Mita 4530 KX. The only solution for this printer was to setup a different default printer.
