📖HomeBack Hysteresis prevents that point changing state when moving towards the normal state by specifying the amount by which it must cross the limit before changing state.
ClearSCADA is designed such that hysteresis applies to the four alarm limits (High High, High, Low and Low Low), but does not apply to the zero scale and full scale range processing. This means that when the point comes back into range, it is immediately valid.
