📖HomeBack In some older versions prior to ClearSCADA 2007 R1 it is not possible to force users to enter a comment when they acknowledge an alarm. Users with Alarm Acknowledge permissions would be able to Acknowledge with or without comment.
ClearSCADA can be configured to force users to enter comment when they acknowledge an alarm. This may be enforced on a per severity basis in the Severities section of the Server Configuration tools by removing the ability for users to Acknowledge alarms, while leaving the ability to still "acknowledge with comment". Note that in the example above, only the options to operate on the alarm "with comment" are still enabled. Standard options to acknowledge (accept), unacknowledge and remove cannot be performed for alarms in the Low severity. To disable this functionality system wide, simply untick these options on each configured severity.
