Problem Description

Crystal Reports is a third-party add-on to ClearSCADA to generate and display reports. The generation and the display of the reports are using the components supplied by SAP SE and are not created by Schneider Electric.

The Crystal Report components have prerequisites that need to be installed to allow them to work. If these prerequisites are not installed then the Crystal Reports options in the installer (for both ViewX and the server) will not be shown.

Solution

If you wish to generate or display Crystal Reports on your machine you must install the follow prerequisites as part of the ClearSCADA installation.

Visual C++ 2010 components

Visual C++ 2005 components

Crystal Reports runtimes

The exact version of these components depend upon the version of ClearSCADA you are installing or upgrading. If any of these components are missing the Crystal Reports option will not be shown in the installer.
