📖HomeBack Time formats are configured in different places depending on whether a named user is logged into the system.
The Guest user in ViewX can be configured on a per node basis and is configured in the Tools -> Options dialog in ViewX. The date / time format for the Guest user in the web client is configured in the server configuration dialog under System Configuration -> Guest User. The Guest User date / time settings in the server configuration also apply when the Guest user is logged on using ViewX and information is formatted by the server (not the client). For example, times displayed within event journal messages use the server Guest User settings.
Once a user logs into the system, all time formatting information is retrieved from the user account inside ClearSCADA.
If any of these settings are left blank, the time / date format for the user's locale is used. This locale is defined within ClearSCADA and is not related to the Windows system locale or regional settings. The Windows regional settings have no effect on the formatting of values, but were used to get the default formats in the first place for each of the predefined product locales.
There are three default locales configured in ClearSCADA. The locales and their default date / time formats are shown below.
English (US) - M/d/yyyy hh:mm:ss.SSS a
English (UK) - dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss.SSS
English (Australia) - d/M/yyyy hh:mm:ss.SSS a
For further information on the formatting strings available, refer to the topic "Defining the Format of Displayed Values" in the Core Configuration Guidebook in the online help.
