All,

The meters in question never had the serial number registry populated when originally programmed. The meters have all now been replaced.

Regards

Jon

Are you seeing this in the EGX300?  Can you provide a screenshot of your finding?

Thanks,

James

Hi James.

It's when trying to view the data on the meter via Vista on PME 7.2. Also shows up on the Diagnostics Viewer too. I will attach a screen shot for you.

Thanks,

Jon

If you can make this picture out, The top 3 devices are the ones with problems, the 4th device in the list is located on a board supplied several months later which appears to work just fine.

Thanks James,

Hi Jon this looks like something related to the device firmware, could you please confirm the FW version of the other iEM3255s is it 10.200? Looking at the release notes for the driver for SPM 7.0.1 I see the same situation in one of the screenshots in the document. Let's ask our drivers expert.

could you please comment on this. Thanks

Cheers,

Juan

Hi Juan.

The firmware version for both meters, the one displaying the serial number and the one(s) not displaying the serial number are the same (v. 10.300 as it shows in the screen shot).

Regards,

Jon

Hi John,

I have forwarded the case to the firmware team.

BTW are you facing any difficulty due to the incorrect serial number?

Regards,

Anirban

Hi Jon,

I had a conversation with the device team and they said that it is a known issue. It does not seem to cause any problem but in case if you experience any problem, please contact the device customer support who will help you out.

Regards,

Anirban

I think also across an echo of this problem - the number is readable but it doesn't match the one on the case. Is that true - has the problem not been solved since then?
