Both units have webserver built in. I would like to know what the difference on the webpages based on the dashboard. What is the pro and cons between the hardware and the webserver?

hello @TecnoEmanuele
As soon as devices are added in PAS800 (using virtual ID from PAS600) and data logging or sampling is configured on PAS800 you will be able to use the historical data (datalogger).
When one PAS is having devices connected on a another PAS this PAS is called the Child gateway
Kind Regards

Hello,
Would prefer to say that PAS800 is an energy server with capability to log data and display or export logged data.
PAS600 is much more a gateway ( cloud gateway as example) with data retention in case of communication issues. When data are pushed, they are deleted from the memory.
If we can compare PAS and COMX ( which is not the case), PAS600 ~ COMX210 and PAS800 ~ COMX510.

Hi Thierry,
What will be the pro and con for the built in webserver? Is there any difference?
Link copied. Please paste this link to share this article on your social media post.
hello,
I do not kbnow what you call the built in webserver, in term of Configuration pages no difference, but normally PAS800 shall be able to replace 510 which has the capability to build embeded web dashboard to display data which is not available today with 1.5 for PAS.
If you want modbus gateway => no difference
If you want a cloud gateway => no difference, prefer PAS600
If you need local energy server or the ability to push csv to SFTP yopu have to use PAS800
If you need PoE => you have to make a choice

I am referring to the built in GUI if i choose to use the PAS600L or PAS800L locally instead of cloud base like facility expert or energy hub.

Hi Derrick,
If the need is to use a Panel Server in standalone mode without BMS, SCADA or advisor (FE, Energy Hub), I advise you to use PAS800.
PAS600 web page offer the possibility to view ONLY real time measurement
PAS800 web page offer the possibility to view real time measurement +TRENDS (recorded value)
Your previous screenshot was an example of real time measurement in PAS600.
I add bellow a screenshot of trend from PAS800

Hi Thierry,
Thanks for the explanation.
I have a question on the dashboard that i saw it on the website.
I cannot see the equipment, notification and team at your image that you attached to me previously.

a question, if I have 2 PAS600 and I insert a PAS800 can I use the "trand" function also for the devices connected to the two PAS600? thanks

Hi, my question is like addendum to mentioned above information. I need to receive data from 22 electrical meters (plans to use SE MID models with ModBus RTU), connect them to PAS800 directly. Also I need info from 66 MBus counters (Hot, Cold water, Heat Energy). For it will be MBus to ModBus IP other brand converter used.
So question - how many values can be stored in PAS800? Will be enough for me 1 pcs PAS800 or I need 2 pcs? How many devices can be connected to one PAS800 like a child (PAS600/400, MBus converters, etc.)? Value storage time (I saw somewhere 3 years but for what? (device/values/sample rates periods).
Hope my question is clear.
BR,
Alexander

Hello @Alexander_Remteks,
This is mentioned in the release note.
Example in 2.0 128 modbus tcp devices, 32 serial modbus,... 5000 data points max and a flow of 500 points per minute ( I would prefer to say if you log every 2 minutes you can log 1000 data points).
When you reach the max capacity in sampling you will get a warning
Regarding data storage it is up to 3 years with PAS800 but depends on the number of data stored and sampling rate. This is rolling storage.
Kind Regards

hello! I'm here again, I bought the PAS800, I updated it to the latest version and I inserted the PAS600 as mudbus devices, it found them and tells me that they are online.
the problem is that inside them I do not find any electrical value, for example as if I click on a device connected to the PAS600. is there a procedure to do to allow the data to be transferred from the PAS600 to the PAS800? I read many manuals but I do not find anything of interest to me

Hi, all is very easy. Firstly you need add devices connected directly to PAS600 or PAS800. Later, for every device you will see Virtual device ID.
As example - PAS600 has 192.168.8.10 IP
PAS800 has 192.168.8.11 IP
In PAS800 you should find in device section add device by IP.
1. Select PAS600 IP (192.168.8.10)
2. Select communication port (by default is 502)
3. Select virtual ID of device from PAS600
Such way you need add all devices.
Than in PAS800 for every device you also should select parameters and alarms you want to be logged in PAS800.
Also you should know that to PAS800 is possible to add any other devices, but with Schneider help driver should be created. (Such way at one site are connected 4 water meters using MBus to ModBus IP converter and driver for communication).
Hope my comments helps 🙂
BR,
Alexander

ah here, very simple. I thought that by inserting only the pas600 I would see all the devices inside, instead I have to insert them individually and identify them only with the virtual ID.... I just did it and everything works fine!
thanks for the support!

Hello @TecnoEmanuele
If you are using predefined models, use the discovery process by scanning the IP adress of the PAS600 and put 1-255 as ID in the PAS800. All devices should be discovered by PAS800. If you are using custom models it will not work ( to be available in a later release 2.2 ?) you have to add them manually selecting the right device model to be used. If PAS800 is not able to recognize the device it will be added as an unknown device. As soon as you have the right model you will be able to see "live" data and if you have activated sampling, historical data.

thanks, i have another question. if i want to use the PAS800 to add other ModBus IP devices, is it possible? or do they have to be only Schneider devices? i didn't see a "generic" model on the modbus devices add page

Hello,
If you refer to Non Schneider Electric devices or devices not ahving a build in model, you need to create a custom model using EPC W and load the model in the PAS. There is a post explaining this
Kind Regards

Hi All
I find the exchanges on this forum to be very useful.
I am a beginner for using Schneider Power Tag Sensors + Panel Server PAS400 + Display FDM128, for use in an MCB Distribution Board, first with local display only on FDM128.
Later I want to try using PAS600 or PAS800 with built in webpages to display a large amount of data.
However, I am having problems in connecting PAS400 to FDM128.
PAS400 itself connected to 20 Power Tag Sensors by wireless system of Power Tag.
But can not connect PAS400 to FDM128.
Have tried connecting PAS400 to FDM by:
Direct Ethernet cable from PAS400 to COM port of FDM128.
Connecting PAS400 to a TCP/IP switch and then connecting FDM128 Ethernet port to this switch.
In either cases, when discovery is switched ON on FDM128, it does not detect PAS400.
On checking PAS400 communication parameters in EcoStruxure commissioning I get:
IP: 192.168.1.237
There is no Subnet
Modbus Slave number is 255
FDM gives the following communication parameters
IP: 169.25431.1.128
Subnet: 255 255 255 0 0
Default Gateway: 169.254.1.1
I think this problem is of communication settings on PAS400 and / or FDM128.
Please help.
Thanks
GGRUK

Hello,
not knowing anything on FDM128 used with PAS, from your post you are not in the same network, recommend to use static IP addresses in the same network.
There is a post in the community providing capability of FDM with PAS.
Kind Regards

Hi everyone,
Can I check whether is Mitsubishi Power Meter ME96SS suitable to integrate with PAS800? I find out that their modbus table have different multiply factor as per below. I feel that we cannot integrate with the same modbus address with different multiply factor right?
Link copied. Please paste this link to share this article on your social media post.
Hello @Derrick_User
I am not sure that the multiplying factor is changing dynamically . If you take current you just need to get the primary rating of CT as set in the device, and I understand that the multiplier is fixed. Would suggest to test with a custom model to see the reading provided or using a modbus diag tool.
Kind Regards

I have tested with the device ME96SS with third party software Modbus Doctor. I try to pull the address of the voltage and I am using the multiply factor x0.1. I am worry on the power and energy. For the active energy, the value is accumulated. I am not sure whether does ME96SS suitable to customise for PAS800.
Thank you.
Regards,
Derrick

hello @Derrick_User
If the multiplier depends on the value measured and is dynamically applied there is no option with a custom model....
