Hello everyone !
Our client wants to avoid his data being sent to external clouds as much as possible (sensitive environment) such as Schneider Cloud. So, I made some researches on the Panel Server's user guide and I found that there were only two ways to publish datas which are export to Schneider Cloud or use SFTP (not very pratical to collect live datas). But I also saw on the web that it was possible to read datas only with the IP of the gateway if the gateway is connected to the internal network (wifi or ethernet) of the company through modbus tables and registers. My question is : can we get datas on real-time with this solution and after that to store and log these datas externally on a third-party supervision software.
Thank you in advance for your help 🙂

Hello,
Even with cloud connection to SE cloud it is not live data for measurements. The PAS is acting as a data logger, it is logging data on a periodic basis basis called sampling and pushing to the cloud at another periodic basis, as the COMX was doing.
There is except for alarm/event no difference between SFTP publication and cloud connection.
However PAS is also a modbus tcp gateway, so any monitoring system can poll the PAS to get the measurements from connected devices, as it is modbus you can get live data from the devices connected depênding on your master system (scada, BMS).
can you provide additional information ?

Hello,
There are two APIs (Schneider M340) in the network. Both of them will be linked with the panel server with MODBUS TCP (ethernet). We want to grab datas from the sensors, themselves connected in ethernet via MODBUS TCP to each APIs. These datas have to be on real time to know useful info such as functionning mode (manual, auto, ...). Do you need more additional information ? I don't really know what to give you more.
Thank you for you help @Guillaume_Evrard

Hello,
PAS 600 and PAS800 are having web pages to display measurements. PAS800 might get the same features as COMX510 (own web pages).
In your drawing can you explain what is your iot monitoring system ?
Would suggest to use a direct communication from a newer PLC directly to the cloud (As far as I remember M262 is having it)

Thank you for the time you spend to help me @Guillaume_Evrard. The monitoring system is a website we give to ours client to allow them to monitor the system. It works by polling a database where the values of the datas we want to follow are stocked and logged (values of yesterday, today, ...). This database is fed thanks to the gateway (here the Panel Server) which collects and sends data from the MODBUS network to which it is connected (on the APIs diagram). The monitoring system is pretty much similar to EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert but we are especially interessed in dashboards (statistics).

in that case SFTP publication and ETL to load your database with measurements from CSV ?

ETL ?
The solution you are given to me concerns only datas at the end of the day or also the live datas ? I don't understand how we can have these live datas in the database with a CSV.

Hi @anbl_reel , May I know you able to pull the data from the data logger without go through the built in web in the panel server? Do they provide any API to do so?

Hi @derickloo ,
For the real-time data - you can retrieve the data over Modbus -> Examples of Modbus Routing - EcoStruxure Panel Server User Guide (schneider-electric.com)
For the historical data - you can retrieve the data via periodic CSV or JSON publication via SFTP -> Publication on SFTP Server - EcoStruxure Panel Server User Guide (schneider-electric.com)
