Hi,
We have a project that has the new PM8000 installed at site and we are going to use Modbus RS485 to connect the PM8000 to a Com'X 210 for data logging & cloud push.
There doesn't look to be a native driver for the PM8000 in the Com'X when I use firmware 2.1.17.
Is there a native driver being released for the Com'X? If not are there any custom drivers developed for the PM8000?
Thanks
Colin

Hi, Colin,
I don't think PM8000 is on the support device list for Com'X200 v2.1.7, anyway, I have attached the PM8000 device modbus register map as well as some screenshots on my Com'X200. Hope it can save you some time to map the device in Com'X200.
Regards,
James

Thanks James R.
We will support PM8000 in the Com'X 200/210, but it is not there natively today. We do support in the Com'X 510.
Why not now?
The back-end for device type support in the Com'X 200/210 vs Com'X 510 is different today. We are merging the models together to ensure they share the same back-end, etc. For example...the Com'X 200/210 now utilizes the same Modbus Gateway engine as the Com'X 510. Next, we had planned to merge the PDM (or Power Data Model) in our Com'X 3.0 release; however to meet the EGX300 substitution demand we had to push that out. Once we merge the PDM, we will have the ability to pull in all device types....shared among all the Com'X range.
I hope this helps clarify.
James

Hello Colin
In a quick answer, the modbus mapping of the PM8000 is similar to the modbus mapping of the PM5000
(except the power that are now formpated in W, VA, VAr instead of kW, kVA and kVAr)
I have thus
the result is there : https://community.se.com/docs/DOC-13897

James:
Good day, I was researching exactly what Jun was asking about. We also want to put a PM8244 and connect it to a ComX200 or 510 and bring this plus several EM4800's into ION 7.2.2.
We will include the 510 rather than the 200. I appreciate the answer. Saves me finding this out the hard way.
On another note we are buying (2) ComX 510's I'll send you the loaner back when we get them in. This query today will be #3 if the project is funded. Thanks for your help and information.
This is a good example of the tech portion of Schneider responding to our needs as contractors .
