MV SMD for PAS600

Hello Team,

In our project we met a problem with configuration of PAS600 for MV MCSet equipment. We couldn't find any software like LV SMD but for MV equipment. That's why it wasn't possible to create proper HMI view for MCSet. Does anyone know how to proceed in this case? Any thoughts or proposals are highly appreciated.

Hello, 

I do not think the MV SMD application is compatible with Panel Server. This application only use up to 3x ZBRN32 Zigbee Gateway. 

SMD Configurator tool for MV application exists, but is not compatible with Panel Server registers.

The problem is that we had LV Okken and MV MCSet in our project. LV plant has already installed PAS600 and customer wants to have identical equipment for LV and MV. We need to figure out somehow. Is there any way to connect HMI directly to PAS600, without PLC?

Hi @Alexander_Akulov , 

Official HMI for Panel Server is the FDM128, but you can only view PowerTag data from Panel Server. FDM128 is not compatible with CL110 / TH110.

OKKEN team has validated Web HMI from Phoenix Contact. This Web HMI only display Panel Server Web interface. This HMI may not be qualified for MCSet application.

For SMD LV or SMD MV you have to use the proper SMD configurator to generate the config file for the PLC and the Magellis if you have a Magellis.

For SMD LV PAS can be used as the zigbee gateway. For SMD MV today only ZBRN32 is supported. PAS Support should arrive soon (V7).

When you have a SMD MV you have to use :

SMD MV predefined model in the PAS (00_SMDxxxx), this model is coming with the ambient condition in the room and the Global alarm status ( None, Warning, Major).

For each of the function configured in the SMD (Cubicle, breaker) you have to import a custom model. Today there is a limitation in PAS as we are only able to configure one device with same modbus address ( serial or tcp). The workaround as the PLC is answering to all slave ID is to use a different ID for each function.

Example IP SMD = X

Substation X:1

Cubicle 1 X:2

Cubicle 2 X:3, etc

I can provide the custom models if you want, there are also the Active models used by the Factories

In case I understood you correctly, we have two ways of solving this issue:
1) Official SMD MV with support of PAS. You said PAS support should arrive soon (V7). Could you please estimate when? Can we get something like Beta version of SMD MV with support of PAS?

2) Custom models. What are the next steps? What kind of information you need to get in order to provide proper custom model?

1) this is only to replace ZBRN32 by PAS, no other change. I do not know when it will be released

2) Contact me directly providing number of cublicles and function of each cubicle as per SMD MV
