How to use Mastepact model with IFE
The "Masterpact" models provided by the Com'X 200/210 are designed for a direct connexion :
Micrologic <-> BCM (modbus) <-> Serial line
With some modification it is possible to use those models for Masterpact connected through an IFE :
Micrologic <-> BCM (ULP) <-> IFE <-> Ethernet port

Yes this is a temporary solution.
We were not able to include the Masterpact Micrologic interfaced by the IFE, as there is a discrepancy between the document and the product (in the user manual powers are expressed in kW, while in the product the powers are expressed in 100 W).
Recently IFE has decided to modify the user manual,
We will create a native model it in a future version

How about the Com'X 510?
In the document, it is stated that it is applicable only for 200/210.

Since version 1.1.43, the Com'X 510 automatically recognise the Masterpact / IFE.
NOTE : in order to discover It, you must launch a modbus discovery between slave 255 and slave 255
(In IFE, the ULP devices is mapped as modbus slave 255);

Jef

I am asking because yesterday I upgraded the firmware of a Com'X 510 to version 1.1.44 in our showroom.
It only detects an unknown device at address 255 ...
Btw: The Com'X 510 is the one James sent me a few weeks before the fair beginning of May.
Could there be an issue with this one? Pre-series build or something? I will check it's "About" for the f/w version to see if it was properly loaded (via USB-stick in the front). Can't do that until next week though ...

I have tested it with a version 1.1.43 and an IFE LV434011 version 001.009.008.
I know that some IFE have got wrong Firmware image with a wrong modbus identifier code.
Could you use "Modbus tester" and FC 43-14 to check that the 43-14 code is corrcect :
If you do not have ModbusTester, I can send it to you
Regards
Jef
