How to scale numbers using the Com'X200 Generic Modbus Device Type
I had a question today at how to get decimals when using the generic modbus device type of the Com'X200. (Note that this applies to version 1.0.8)
So I have my Com'X200 and a Veris Modbus CWLP (CO2, Temperature and Humidity sensor).
The secret to get some decimal is to make the communication values larger than the physical values. As you can see in the following example, we range the communication values for the temperature from 100 to 350, while the output value are going from 10 to 35. That means that you will get one decimal.
Last quick note: in version 1.0.8 of the firmware, you will notice that the output value displayed in the Com'X200 only have 2 digits only. However, the 3 digits are properly logged and will be properly pushed to the cloud!
