How to get Modbus register of the Wireless Temperature Sensor (TH110 and CL1010) from comX?

Hi Good day everyone,

Kindly advice on how to get the correct Modbus registers for the wireless temperature devices (TH110 & CL110). Please see the attached PDF file for the system architecture.

Also here is the screen shot of ZBRN32_registers_Ting v0.2 which is from our partner but we are not familiar how to use it:

in this image i use 55 as Input no. referring for the device Channel Number.

ZBRN32_registers_Ting v0.2_Screenshot.PNG

And using the Com'X Diagnostic>> Read Device Register>>

I am expecting to read the same reading from the sensor to confirm that it is the right register.

reading from device.

temp: 31.4

Humidity: 69.14

Kindly advice.

Thank you in advance.

Hello @mykel ,

To see the detailed frame, you need to go under  :

  1. Custom Library tab
  2. Select your Model Name
  3. Under the "Slave" section click on "Edit Frame" button

You will see the detail of all consecutive frames associated to the main "Frame" you set for your custom mode.

Regards.

Hello @mykel ,

I have tested with CL110 connected to Channel 1 of my ZBRN32 and it works well.

Below the frame I used in my custom model to monitor Temp and Humidity for Channel 1.

ComX_CL110_CH1_model.png

Values confirmed on my Com'X interface.

ComX_CL110_CH1_values.png

To read the correct registers it seems you need to read the Holding Register and not the Register Address set into your Custom Model.

Example below : To read temperature I set Register Address to 16 in my Custom Model. But to read the value in the Diagnostic tab you need to put the Holding Register = Register Address + 1 = 17

ComX_CL110_CH1_readregisters.png

I think there is a gap in your Partner document : 1829 = Register Address for Battery Voltage. So to read this value you need to put 1830 in "Starting Register" and read 1 register.

Regards.

Hi @Romain_Polette ,

Thank you for fast response.

I wonder if it is possible for me to view the setting for "Digital Frame Item Description" of the device that is already configured?

Maybe i can use this to get the register that was used for the devices.

Thank you.

Hello, Teams,

Where can I get a list of addresses to read channels on ZBRN32,

I have an issue where I can't read the thermal on the ZBRN connected to the TM251 PLC,

To read the access I connect directly to the PLCTM251 and read the ID listed for ZBRN32 or the PLC ID.?

for one ZBRN installed a total of 59 sensors.

we use two ZBRN with the same total sensor.

Hello,

It depends on the configuration of your ZBRN, can you confirm if it is ZBRN1, ZBRN2 or ZBRN32 ?

You have 2 modes of operation.

  • One ID, all the measurements are available on one modbus id and you have to increment the register address by +33 to access sensors.
  • One ID per sensor, there is one modbus id per sensor and you are always getting the mesurement at the same adress.

for one ID :

Register number Register Number Register Address Register Number Register Address Sologate input
RSSI (8bits) Time out (8 bits) Temperature (16 bits) Temperature (16 bits) RH (16 bits) RH (16 bits)
Value in dBm
'-128 = undefined
- 0x00 : Ok
- 0xFF : Timeout expired
0,01°C 0,01°C 0,01% 0,01%
12 17 16 18 17 0
45 50 49 51 50 1
78 83 82 84 83 2
111 116 115 117 116 3
144 149 148 150 149 4
177 182 181 183 182 5

If you are using ZBRN32 you have to get the timeout in order to validate the measurement, as it will provide always the last measurement received.

ZBRN1/2 are providing NaN in timeout conditions

Hello Team,
I am looking for the Modbus address map for the ZBRN32. It seems to be slightly different from the ZBRN1 and 2 which is causing me some headaches. There does not appear to be a ZBRN32 equivalent document to the Harmony Hub ZBRN1/ZBRN2 User Manual.
The ZBRN32 also has an additional option when configuring the serial port parameters. It just displays a t . 0
I presume this is a timeout. Does anybody have more information on this ?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Normally ZBRN2 and ZBRN32 menu are identical.

If you want to get data from TH110/CL110 same register except that for ZBRN32 you have to validate the measurement based on timeout information. For ZBRN1/2 you get NA in case of timeout condition.

If you refer to T in this menu :

  ConF Configuration menu (Conf)
in.nn Show the quantity of binding devices nn = [0-60]
  SL Serial Link setting menu
T  s Table Selection Allow selection of table selection to use one UID per E-Access or one UID per device (multi UID feature)
  T  s Table Selection Value s = [0 - 4]
0: One UID per E-Access
1-4: One UID per sensor

This is Table selection. If you have 0 all sensors are at the same modbus adress but sensors are distributed over several modbus registers (+ 33).

If you put 1, 2, 3, 4. Each sensor will be a different modbus address and registers will always be the same per sensor.
Number defines the starting address for the first sensor.
