Gateway (EGX, PAS...) to PME and EBO simultaneously

Hi team;

We have a site with EBO and PME integrated to the main headquarters. The client is a bank. They want to monitor other branches where there are currently no EBOs or PMEs. For this monitoring, the easiest thing is to place an Automation Server (brain of our BMS: EBO, which has native Bacnet, Modbus and LonWorks) but for the price it is not viable because this branch will be the "demo" for another 90 that have.
The question is: according to the attached diagram, T1, T2 and T3 are TH900 family thermostats (https://www.se.com/us/en/download/document/F28152/) to sense temperatures and they will be placed in a SD duct sensor; Also, M1 is a basic range meter, eg iem3000, PM2120 or similar. This will be integrated into a gateway (EGX initially or its PAS equivalent) and the intention is to bring the gateway to EBO and PME simultaneously, but the question is, can the gateway report simultaneously to EBO and PME? If not, can these variables be entered into the PME through the gateway and via webservices, ETL or similar, transfer them to the EBO or vice versa? Or what would be the option?
Also, if you have any suggestions for another type of thermostat, architecture, topology, it is welcome.

The gateway doesn't report data to EBO or PME.  PME and/or EBO will request data via the Gateway.  So, to answer your question, yes, the Gateway can handle requests from more than one client.

Just to complement, EBO, PME, "EGX"= modbus tcp gateway,  need to be connected to a network able to route modbus tcp traffic (tcp port 502)...

Hello @Christian_Sáenz , 

As you mentioned, it is always better to install one (or more) AS-P on your building (depending on the size). then déclare the Modbus Table on EBO. This will allow you to control your meter and T900 sensors from EBO Webstation (or Workstation).

At gateway level I do not see any restriction, because a Panel Server can be a transparent gateway for your T900 sensors. Modbus registers will be forwarded to upstream system. Then you can connect the Panel Server on both PME and EBO.

Now let's discuss EBO and PME.

You need to know that integration between PME2022 and EBO 4.0.2 is now easier because PME2022 integrate an EWS Client (EcoStruxure Web Services).

=> By doing this, you can connect your gateway only on PME or EBO. Do the job only 1 time.

If you are using previous version of PME and EBO, this is also possible:

1. if you connect the gateway + devices on PME => you will need to use the PME EWS Server to transfer data from PME to EBO
2. if you connect the gateway + devices on EBO => you will need the ETL tool to transfer data from EBO (Extended Trending Logs) and PME.
