Hi,
I was attempting to update the firmware version in an EIFE module using EPC and everything was going well and the upgrade seemed to be working, although the initial length of time indicated was 19 minutes. However, the process just stopped after a couple of minutes and the software reported that the "Upgrade Unsuccessful. Please restart the module manually and retry". I repeatedly tried restarting and retrying, but the module now seems to be stuck permanently in Boot mode. I tried resetting the module with the Reset button and retried, but its still stuck in Boot.
Is there a way to fix this issue as I have quite a few EIFEs to upgrade and don't want to brick any more devices.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Hello @BrianW ,
Breaker gateways are not in our scope... better check with breaker tech support.
Do not forget to enclose EPC Log with your tech support ticket.
Your issue may depend on some parameters:

Dear @BrianW and Team, @Romain_Polette
We are from the Schneider Cikarang Indonesia automation team,
I want to ask about the problem above: does the issue still exist when upgrading the EIFE firmware?
The next question is, must be connected to the internet when upgrading the firmware EIFE?
Is there a failure when upgrading the firmware due to connections or firewalls such as Cyberark and others?
I look forward to hearing from you soon—many thanks in advance.

Hello @YonKhoerul ,
For any question related to EPC or EIFE, you can ask here:
https://community.se.com/t5/Power-Distribution-IEC/ct-p/iec-ecosystems-associated-standards
EPC must be connected to Internet only when you need to log on the app with your Schneider account. FW files are embedded in the app, no Internet connection needed when upgrading a device with EPC.
EIFE FW upgrade process can take some time... but most part of time it's going without any issue.
If you have some troubles, please check with tech support or Power Distribution community.

Thank you for the explanation provided,
Because the number exceeds dozens of EIFE, I am only worried about this issue.
We will try it next week; if problems or issues arise, I will ask on the Power Distribution - IEC page.

Hi @BrianW,
I've run into this issue before and the only way I've found that resolves this issue is by using a patch lead and connecting directly to the eIFE and running the update through EPC.
Best of luck.
