Hi, Can you confirm the maximum number of devices that can directly and remotely connect to the EGX300?
In this document it states up to 64 can be connected directly.
In other documents I see that up to 32 can be connected directly to the EGX300 via RS485 serial.
Depending on the document either 16 or 32 remote connected devices (ethernet) can be connected in addition to the 32 serial devices.
Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin,
It depends based on a type of serial devices connected to the EGX via RS486, as described in the following discussion.

How does this work with the EGX 300 connecting to other gateways connected to downstream devices?
eg. We have an EGX 300 connected to 5 EGX100s each connected to 10 downstream serial devices.
Will the EGX300 support this?

The EGX300 can open connections for up to 16 unique, user-defined remote Modbus TCP/IP devices.
So, yes, 5 remote IPs of your EGX100s can be defined in EGX300 and further, 10 downstream serial devices for each EGX100 can be added in EGX300 device list.
It will be valid configuration.
