EBX300 - Help!! Can the Administrator Password be recovered if changed and lost

Hi All,

I have just installed and EGX300 on customer site. The customer requested that the Administrator password be changed as they will be remotely accessing the device. When I changed the password I must have mispelled what intended tpo enter. I can no longer log in to the Administrator account using Gateway or what ithought was the new password.

Is there a "backdoor" password that I can use to regain access to the EGX300?

Any help is much appreciated!

Regards,

Ray Mc Phillips

Yes there is a backdoor password. If you provide the Mac address I can provide that to you.

Is it the same for EGX-100 and EBX?

Hello Chindhu,

If Administrator forgets the password for EGX300 then the support team provides the username and password for EGX300 based on the MAC address.

Whether support team provides for each device a unique username and password based on the MAC address? or is it the common username and password for all EGX300 devices?

Regards,

S. Subramanyam

Hi Subramanyam and Ganesh, yes it's dependent on the MAC address and it's the same process for obtaining the backdoor password for both EGX100 and EGX300. Tech Support can assist with this.
