Custom Model Creatin and CSV/JSON export using PAS

Hello Community,

Could you kindly advice about custom model usage on PAS?
I'm asked from our partner about the custom model creation for PAS600. They want to publish the data in CSV or JSON format based on this.
I already read the topics in the below. But those are old topics, I'd like to confirm the latest information.

  • Panel Server video - Custom Model creation
  • PAS800 Custom Device Model (for firmware 001.004.000)

[Q1: Custom model creation by partner]
According to the above topic, I understand that custom model creation is possible by our partner usign EPC-W in the url below. Is my understanding correct?

  • EPC-W

If so, is there any documents, such as user guide, available for our partners?

[Q2: Rrequiremtn for PAS Model]

I read the below and it says the below.

  • Custom Models for Downstream Modbus Devices (Universal and Advanced Models)

> Custom models are only dedicated to support EcoStruxure Asset Advisor EcoStruxure Resource Advisor ,
and EcoStruxure Energy Hub applications and Panel Server Advanced energy server functions.

Does this mean CSV export for the devices with custom model is not available on PAS600 even if they create custom model? Is there any plan to support the CSV export for the devices using custom model on PAS600? Or should we propse to the partner to use PAS800 instead?

[Q3: Retrying Data Publication for SFTP server after the network connection issues]

Is there any retrying mechanizm the data publication for SFTP server?
As far as I know, if PAS support this. Once network connection issue happens, PAS will retry the data publication after network connection is restored. Is there any similar feature for the publication for SFTP server?
If not, is there any way to collect the histrical data during netwrok issue later hopefully systematically?
I think PAS also supports modbus tcp access, but I think this this is not available only for latest status and not available for collecting historical data, right?

hello @AkihiroY

[Q1: Custom model creation by partner]
Your understanding is correct, your partner can use the EPC web Link and will be able to request for an “Engineer profile” to create its own Custom Model.

The documentation is not yet published because currently in review process.

I will connect with you to know how we can collaborate and give you an access for an SE internal usage.

[Q2: Requirement for PAS Model]

SFTP publication are available both on PAS600 and PAS800 and includes the measurement defined in custom models ( so As you mention, Custom model also make sense for SFTP publication and not only for Energy server mode /SE cloud advisors)

SFTP publication can be based on a JSON or CSV format

For information, there is also a local export button (available only on PAS800/ not available on PAS600 and only in CSV format). But it is a manual action requested by the user by clicking on the buttonfor export on his own laptop.

[Q3: Retrying Data Publication for SFTP server after the network connection issues]

Yes there is a retrying mechanism , to avoid gap in the publication. Measurements data will be published after network re-connection.

Note that the data buffer of a PAS600 is lower than PAS800 (typically: 1 month for PAS 600 vs 3years for PAS800)

Regarding Modbus TCP access , I confirm that it is only for the latest value and not for historical data.
