ComX 200 - Modbus gateway support and PME7.2 support

Hello,

I am preparing quotation for customer where I would like to use many ComX200 + PME7.2. To finish this offer I need clarify some questions:

1. When will be released FW for CommX 200 with Modbus Gateway functionality?

2. How we can read online data from ComX digital/analog inputs from PME7.2? (Doeas ComX support Modbus slave functionality?)

3. Will PME7.2 have driver/tool for ComX 200 that will allow to synchronize data from ComX memory and PME database?

The modbus gateway feature will be included in Com'X 200 version 1.1

This version 1.1 will be available mid March 2014

In this version 1.1, it will not be possible to read the Digital Input neither the Analog Input in the Com'X 200 Modbus-TCP server

(The Com'X 200 will work as a pure modbus gateway and will not map any internal variable).

I see a lot of potential with the Comx 200 if the answers "Jan Mikulec" 3 questions were all yes? Is there any road map for this?

Nigel/Jan - as Jef indicates above, the gateway function support is coming, and we are testing this with PME.  For 2 & 3, the file format is the same as the EGX, and would follow the same ETL process used today.

Wanted to just reiterate the warning to folks so this doesn't get misapplied. This question came up in a commercial training session this week. With the gateway feature in 1.1 currently, PME can only read the connected meters, and  *cannot* read the on-board analog and digital inputs. This could be an issue with WAGES application for example. In the push-to-cloud case, it should be fine.
