Com'X510 TEAM
TEAM:
Take care with the Com'X510. Great product but native drivers limited to newer metering devices and only does two wire communication from its on board ports.
It has been a bitter complaint that it does not have native drivers for many legacy devices. The two / four wire issue can be fixed with addition hardware. Field devices can be added but the data does not display as nicely as the canned drivers do this. That is the data for field devices will not show up in the normal drop-down device area with dials and tables.
It appears that it would be easy to make more drivers.
1. Take an existing device driver
2. Change the registers
3. Save it under a new name.
Do not understand the resistance of the Schneider-Electric Gateway team to do this or give field people the ability to to so? Almost got burned by this at a customer's site.....
