Good Morning,
We have just executed a firmware upgrade of the Com'X510 on testing and integrated to a PM8244. The displayed power readings are 1000 times the correct value, the THDi and THDv readings are missing and on a side note the decimal points for the voltage readings are not displayed either.
The hardware and firmware version of the Com'X510 as below,
Application version 1.1.44
MCU board FW version 2.2.6
Root Partition version 4.1.7
Soft Partition Version 1.1.44
Hardware version 5
The screen capture pf the Com'X510 as below,
The screen capture of the PM8000 webpage showing the correct power readings,
The screen capture of the PM8000 webpage showing the presence of the THDv and THDi values,

Hi John/James.
It looks like this is a problem with the way the PM8000 reports Modbus Values. The Register List states that the Modbus value reported is in kW (or kVAR or kVA). These values are 1000 times what is displayed on the meter display.
The display on this unit reads
1.443 kW
James/John - Do you agree this is an issue with the PM8000?
Thanks,
Randi

Hi,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have notified the PM8000 Continuous Engineering Team about the scaling issue with the Power Readings.
The Com'X 510 shows values that are displayed as a percentage in the PM8000 as raw data (not a percent). So, for the Power Quality Readings. some values are too small to display correctly in the Device Settings Measurements table. These values are displayed as a percentage in other areas of the user interface, such as the Real Time Readings. We do plan on making the display of these values consistent in a future release.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

Hi Randi,
I just drilled deeper the PM8000 modbus register list. There is documentation for register 3060 (Active Power Total), 3068 (Reactive Power Total) and 3076 (Apparent Power Total). All the registers at type FL32 and all units are in W, VAR and VA. Can you check that you are using the correct Modbus register list for the production version of PM8000? The modbus register list I have is "Release 1 FW" and I have copied you in the attachment
Best Regards,
Kuan Khoon

Hi Kuan,
You are correct. The register list I was working off of was a bit confusing since it contained all of the meters using the PMC Register List. I was informed by the PM8000 development team that they use "PDM Compliant" units. We have corrected this in the Com'X and it will be available in a future release.
Thanks for finding this issue and following up with it.
Please let me know if there is anything else we can help you with.
