Shared ComX Custom Model Repository [CCMR] - Box
A shared repository for user created Custom Models / Custom Device Types for the Com'X 200/210/510
Did you know....the Com'X 200, Com'X 210, and Com'X 510 all have a feature which allows you to create Custom supported device types. As long as your device speaks Modbus, you can add it to the Com'X for data logging. To save time when visiting your next customer who has some older, or 3rd party Modbus device, let's have a shared repository of created devices

Hi,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. As there have been many role changes, this has not been maintained. However, now that I'm aware of it, I will see about getting it updated with new custom models.
Thanks again,
Randi

I am trying to integrate a old ABB IDM 144 multimeasure of a customer.
I've created a custom library for them, but when I add the new device, there is no point in the "Measurements Table".
Do you know whats can be happening?
Attached you have the backfile of my Com X. There's some Schneider meters in the Serial Port and these ABB connected by a EGX (ethernet conection).

Hi,
To create a bFO case, please call your local Customer Care Center. They can assist with you with this issue. However, I can look at the files you provided and see if there is anything that I can see which may be preventing the measurements from appearing.
However, it's best to contact the Customer Care Center.

Randi

Hi, Is there a new URL for the share folder on box for custom device drivers? I get a "link moved or not shared" message.
I'm looking for a driver for the Schneider EM6400 that looks to be discontinued in firmware above 3.6. Is there a driver for this in V5 for Com'X510?
Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin,
The Com'X 210/510 supports the EM6400. Are you having an issue connecting to it with the Com'X?
Here is the link to the CCMR. However, there isn't a Custom Model in there for the EM6400.

Randi

Hi Randi,
I'm still getting an error for the Box folder, can you check if it's shared with my user account (screen shot attached)?
The team in India were advised when they contacted Com'X support to downgrade firmware from 5.02 to 3.6 to continue support of the EM 6400 as it wasn't present in the V5.02 firmware. If it's it is int he latest firmware then that's great news and we can upgrade the firmware to support HTTPS push to RA and continue to log from the EM6400.
Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin,
I added you to the box folder. So, you should be able to view the files now (sorry I didn't check previously to see if you had access).
There may be an issue discovering the EM6400 series meters (including the PM1200) that are running firmware version 03.03.11 since these meters use the Modbus "Special" read opcode. However, if you manually create them, they will communicate. EM6400 meters running newer firmware are discoverable.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you need further assistance with this matter (or with anything else 🙂 )
Regards,
Randi

Hi JG,
I am not able to access the box folder. I am getting an error "This shared file or folder link has been removed or is unavailable to you".
Could you please provide me rights to access the same?
Actually, we want to connect old schneider meter EM6400 with ComX510 units. Currently they are not communicating/not displaying the correct result.
Thanks and Regards//

Hi Maninder,
I've added you to the box folder. However, the CCMR does not contain a model for the EM6400. If you are having problems communicating to the EM6400, please contact the Customer Care Center. However, would you please share the firmware version of the EM6400 and the Com'X510 you are using? We can do some investigation.
Thanks,
Randi

Hello Randi
the box link above doesn't work. can you please share the correct one?

Hi,
Here is the link to the CCMR. However, I'm pretty sure this isn't going to solve your problem with the old EM6400 series meters. Primarily because there isn't a model for the EM6400 meter in the repository. I believe the reason you are having trouble with this device is because the old meters used a unique Modbus opcode that was used to read configuration registers. The Com'X may not support this correctly (we've had some issues locating these devices for testing).
So, my recommendation is to create a custom device that does not access these configuration registers.
Please let me know if you need a register list for this device.

Randi

Hi Randi
Is the CCMR still available on Box?
Tried to access it via the links in this thread but none seem to work.
I want to see if there is a Custom Model for both of the following
Eastron SDM630-Modbus Electric Meter and Sontex Supercal 531/449 Heat Meter. Both to go to Com'X510 via ModBus.
Was just trying not to re invent the wheel as it were.

Hi Mark,
Yes, this folder is still available on BOX. However, I don't think it has many useful custom models and it doesn't have models for the devices you mention. Regardless, I've added you as an editor.

Hi Randi,
Many thanks for adding me. Surprised at the content.
At lease with CWP we should not have that issue with the PaS 🙂
