Hi guys,
Iam 900km away from home amd due to my trying to save carry on luggage weight on flight, i brought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S with me rather than Windows Laptop.
Im new to the Ecostruxure Panel Server System and wasnt aware i needed a windows machine to enable the "wifi access point" functionality on the PAS400
Without wifi access point enabled, when i touch the multifunction button i do not get a blue flashing light on it.
I have a USB-C to ethernet adaptor which could connect to my Android tablet to the PAS 400 via ethernet cable.
Is it possible to use an Android device in this way to do this? (I havent tried yet just wondering).
If so, can someone provide me with a basic step by step walkthrough on how it might be done using an android connected in this way.

Hello,
Wifi Access Point depends if you have a QR code or not and depends on the FW loaded in the PAS and HW.
Basically if you are able to get a connection to the device, and you select the laptop view on your browser it should be OK. If PAS400 is configured for DHCP and the smartphone also you can get connectivity using the APIPA address.
I never tried.
Kind Regards

Hello @AJECreative
Explanations given by Guillaume are as usual complete
2 conditions for Wifi Access Point:
1/ PAS400 firmware : check you have the latest one: 002.003.000, if not, please upgrade => Firmware PAS400
2/ have a recent PAS400 product in order to get a QR code including in the printing the "device code" to connect automatically using the "EcoStruxure Power Commission" mobile app. (available on your google play store)
But YES it should be also possible with your "USB-C to ethernet adaptor" to connect directly the PAS400 web pages with your android tablet and your google chrome navigator!
Regards,
Eric
