Does the COM'X 510 or Link150, or one of the gateway devices support a "serial server" mode.
Traditionally, with ION meters that we wish to integrate with PME (ION-E) via Ethernet, that do not support Ethernet, the application would be to use an ION meter with a Lantronix Serial Server (ie. UDS1100), or via Ethergate through an ION meter with the Ethernet option. The communications gateway port would typically be 10001 or 7801. We require the ION protocol and not Modbus protocol to enable the features and data recorders in the ION meter.
Unfortunately, I could not see reference to gateway ports other than 502 in the documentation for COM'X 510.

If it is not supported in the current firmware version then it should be in the near future. I was discussing the requirements for this non-translating gateway mode with the developments several months ago. Based on the contents of the email replies and the types questions they were asking the feature was definitely under active development at that time. Unfortunately I do not know when the feature may be released though.
