Hi,
I have a customer who is using a number of COMX 210s to count pulses from WAGES devices.
The device type only has integer type registers for the cumulative usage, whereas the device shows a value with decimal places.
The only floating point registers I can find in the manual are for the raw count value, this would mean us having a bespoke device type for each of the COMX devices, where we then add any offsets, and do the scaling.
Obviously it is easiest to do the scaling and offsets in the COMX, that way we only need one device type, and we have a better method of comparing PME with the value at the device.
Do registers with floating point values for the Cumulative usage exist?? and if so where do I find them?
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
Is the customer using the onboard Digital Inputs? If so, the register defined starting at page 120 in the User Manual are the registers that are available for the inputs.

Hi,
we are using digital inputs, in the COM'x we can configure scaling, and in the web pages we get a scaled value that will show decimal places, but the registers are integers so this is lost when we view the register values in PME.

Hi Andy,
The Com'X scales the pulse counts using the pulse weights and offset to calculate "Energy" and "Instantaneous Power". These are represented in the register list as "Measured Value" and "Measured Flow", respectively.

Hi,
I have had a look through the register list again, and can see that the 'Pulse weight', 'Measured Flow are floating point numbers, but the 'Pulse Count' registers, and the 'Measured Value' registers are integers.
This means that the value is scaled and has an offset added, and you can see this in the Com'x, but the value in PME is only the Integer.
i.e
COM'x Value 2.35 m3
PME Value 2 m3

Hello Andy,
I have some knowledge of Com'X 510 commissioning but I don't have the answer to your question.
sorry

Hello @Andy_Hubert ,
The ComX_Wage PME driver is based on the Com'X Modbus Map.
I checked the driver and it matches exactly.
So it seems we have not the choice.
ComX web page will display a floating point, and PME will display / log an integer.

Can you try to change the "Cumulative Usage" Display Resolution from 0 to 2 under the ComX_Wage Vista Diagram ?

Hi,
This doesn't have any effect, as the register is an integer, and therefore cannot have any decimal places.
Is there any way we can get the scaled values into a floating point register in a new firmware version??
Thanks
Andy
