To perform firmware updates in IT Expert, all Gateways in your organization must be at version 1.16.2 or newer.
On the Firmware Update tab, IT Expert subscribers can update the firmware on monitored APC devices. Firmware updates are available in IT Expert as soon as they are released.
See a list of devices eligible to update and a brief outline of the features and fixes available in the firmware update to help you decide if and when to apply a firmware update.
IMPORTANT: An IT Expert subscription includes firmware updates for NMC3 firmware version 3.x and newer.
Note: Firmware update is not supported for monitored NMC 4 devices.

Click Choose Devices.
You can select up to 50 devices at a time by location, or choose only a few devices to test the firmware before you update all your devices.
Firmware update eligibility warnings are shown when the update is expected to fail on selected devices. The warnings link to help center articles that provide insights into common reasons for firmware update failures.

Click Apply.
Firmware update progress and detailed results are displayed.
Note: You cannot cancel a firmware update once it has been applied.
Once the update is complete, click Previously run to see a list of the firmware updates you have applied.
Click an item in the list to see additional information about successful and failed updates.
Note: The Network Management Card reboots during the firmware update process. The connected load and the device's ability to power or cool are not affected.
