Hello,
What are the different ways to assess the energy and sustainability performance of a building?
Thank you very much!

Hello Sandrine_Z,
There are many frameworks to assess building performance and each building owner can make up its own. But if you want to compare and rate your building performance against others, you should look for widespread and highly recognized methodologies.
Once you have selected the framework, you need to collect very specific measurements and apply the corresponding rating criteria. Such measurements must be of high quality and collected on a regular basis to ensure consistent and meaningful results. Given the quantity of data involved, this makes the process quite tedious! Hence automated data collection tools and software usually ensure a more efficient and reliable reporting process.
Schneider Electric has a broad range of solutions, collecting key data such as resource consumptions, which helps to keep track of the building operational efficiency. Additionnally, in order to provide greater visibility on the energy and sustainability performance of a building, Schneider Electric is developing interfaces to share the performance data with leading partners. These data interfaces can be leveraged to easily share site performance measurements on a regular basis without additional effort.
Currently, Arc Skoru is a worldwide reference when it comes to LEED certification. This partner is able to provide insights on site operational performance by leveraging the LEED referential, as well as benchmarking a given site score against billions-of-square-feet-large portfolio. Moreover, Arc is leveraging EcoStruxure Openness interfaces to automatically perform such scoring on top of the data collected by EcoStruxure solutions: this makes performance scoring easily accessible at portfolio scale.
How do you personally proceed to reliably keep track of your building performance?
How do you act upon it?
➡️ Feel free to share any good practice or issues that you would like to overcome in this thread!
