Modbus Mirror - SEAL Script
Introducing the SEAL Script: Modbus Mirror
We are excited to introduce another community-driven SEAL Script named Modbus Mirror, designed to facilitate integration through Modbus interfaces with the EBO system. Here are the key features and limitations:
Key Features:
- Automation: Seamlessly mirrors an entire AS to Modbus, transferring functionality and bindings to Modbus objects.
- Compatibility: Supports various object types such as IO, values, and schedules, with some limitations for alarms.
- Flexibility: Adapts to different standards and structures across countries, though some manual adjustments may be necessary.
- Mirroring: Efficiently mirrors variables, IO, alarms, and time schedules to a Modbus Local Device Interface.
- Documentation: Generates a Modbus tag list based on the mirrored Modbus variables.
Limitations:
- Alarms: Limits and delays cannot be set via Modbus; only alarm status is exposed. However, delays and limits are mirrored as separate variables.
- Time Channels: Creates variables for on/off times for two time channels per day, but advanced functions like night cooling may not work. The package includes a graphic interface for a Modbus schedule to replace the EBO schedule if mirrored to Modbus.
- Trend Logs: Not supported.
Important Note:
This script is a community-driven project and is not guaranteed to fulfill all needs. It is not shared as a standard script in the tool due to its collaborative nature and ongoing development. We encourage users to contribute and help improve the script further.
Disclaimer:
This script will make significant changes to the EBO database. It is crucial to make a BACKUP of the EBO server before running this script.
Usage:
- For detailed information, please refer to the attached script and manual.
Shoutout:
A huge shoutout to the contributors who have worked tirelessly on this project. Your efforts have made this script a valuable tool for the community!
