Hi
when I am trying to restore the Portal server database backup I am getting the following error message. I am using the default password which I used during the backup of the portal Database.
Any idea that what I am doing wrong?

Hi Imran,
Please see my comment here:
it seems the username (for the database backup) have been incorrect, it should have been schneider (all with small letters).
Kind regards

Hi Jef
I spoke to Jim Davis yesterday and he mentioned to use the schneider (all with small letters) and it works fine for back up the database but for restore I am getting the said error message even I tried schneider (all with small letters) as well as Schneider (only S capital). Every time getting the same error message.
Should I use the same password which I used for Backup or some thing else?
Regards
Imran

Hi Imran,
The password for username "schneider" is the one you have (that would be the one to be used during the restoring process).
However, the error message (according to your screen capture) seems to be basically due to incorrect command, please try this:
dropdb -h localhost -p5432 -U schneider lportal
and then continue the restoring steps.
Kind regards

Thanks Jef
The new command
dropdb -h localhost -p5432 -U schneider lportal
worked fine and did not asked for password as well.
