rack inlet temperature

Hi,

I have several inrow acrc103.

I would like to associate the unit rack inlet temperature sensor to the right rack in DCO in order to get CFD heat map.

Unfortunately I can get only two unassociated devices.

What can be the problem?

I tried to compare firmware, hardware, version and so on, with no success.

I need some help guys.

Hello Amit

Can you share a couple of screenshots of the problem you're describing?

Do you see the temp sensors in the unassociated items list? If not were they associated in DCO/ITA already?

Also, you can drag a temp sensor to almost any spot in a room including suspended in open space.

Regards

Hi,

I have 12 Inrow in a POD,

I have them all apear in the DCO unassociated list.

10 of them reveal unit return air temp and unit supply air temp, no rack inlet temp.

2 of them reveal unit return air temp and unit supply air temp as well as the rack inlet temp

I can see only two rack inlet in the unassociated list in DCO, the other simply don't exist.

In the DCE they seems to be ok and i got the rack inlet temp readings of each one of them among all other parameters of the inrow.

I know i can drag the sensors to the correct location, the front door of the racks.

DCO 8.2.7

DCE (central) 7.0.0

Inrow ACRC100 hardware rev 04 app module ver v3.7.3

Hello Amit

Sorry about the delayed response.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you have a set of similar devices discovered in DCE but they are displaying different sensors in DCO/ITA.

Is is possible those devices are running different firmware? If yes, are the devices running newer firmware accurately displaying rack inlet temp data? If yes, then we would suggest updating the firmware on the devices and then rediscovering them in DCE.

If the device firmware is the same, would it be possible to force DCE to rediscover one of the devices which does not current display the inlet temp data?

Regards

since it wasn't mentioned, one possible issue is your DCE server version, 7. 0.0.  That version is roughly 10 years old and may not have an up to date sensorContext file or DDFs. These are the 2 specific things that are related to DCO compatibility and if DCO will recognize device sensors.

If possible it may be better to test with a newer 7.8.1 DCE server or provide a device walk so that the device can be simulated.  If the server is under software support, you can get the latest version or the updates to get there (however it will require a lot of sequential updates to get to the current revision).

Hope this helps

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

We are going to install a new vm server, my customer and I in the process of designing and setting up a server as well as comprehensive monitoring solution to that POD as for the rest of the room.

I believe it would take a while.

I will keep you posted.

Nevertheless thank you for your help.
