"The system was unable to save your changes due to an expected error"

Hi,

In DCO after adding device associations for ATS/STS we are recieving the following error message

The system was unable to save your changes due to an expected error.

The Client will restart and any unsaved client changes will be discarded

At this point the client restarts and all changes are lost. We are currently running DCO 8.2.2.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

Is it possible to ask for the following data:

client application.log file (usually located in C:\Users\\.isxo\8.2.2.*\Operations\application.log)

server logs (can be download from webmin interface, Stuxureware DC Operation > Download Log Files > "Download log files")

copy of the latest backup file

screen capture illustrating the location of the ATS device (in DCO) and the device trying to be associated.

I will share my box folder with you shortly, so the data can be shared with me safely (hope it's okay with you), thanks.

Kind regards

Hi Mark,

We have been studding the log files (client and server logs), that you have kindly provided - issue basically seemed to be caused by configuration/cabling of a rack ATS. To continue the investigations and provide you a solution can I ask for the following:

Copy of the latest backup file (or a backup file that contains the issue)

Screen capture illustrating the location of the problem device (rack ATS) (eg. reproduce the issue, and take a screen capture), thanks.

Kind regards

Hi Mark,

I have been studding the kindly provided data, running tests, etc. but it is not clear what could be the problem with your ATS model (in U3).

I think the best solution is to remodel it (eg. remove the current model and add a new one), as illustrated I could successfully associate to the similar model (either an existing model from Genomes or take/add a new one from the Genome Library):

Kind regards

Hi Jef,

Have tried adding new devices and still get the same error.  It is also happening when I try to associate other ATS's.

Thanks

Mark
