During the upgrade of the DCO server from v8.1 to v8.2, open DCO clients are not closed.
After the upgrade you can then continue working with the DCO client v8.1 on the DCO server v8.2, without getting any warning.
But some features like power path support for rack ATS are not available.
---
How do you know which DCO client version you are running?
The about page shows the version of the DCO server.

Hi Eduard,
The application itself would display the DCO version as well, In the following example I was trying to use my DCO 8.1 desktop client to connect to my 8.2 server - as expected could not do this, since the client version dose not match the server version.
To verify the server version, we can go to server webmin interface > StruxureWare DC Operation > About:
The 8.2 client should display this login/connection window:
You might want to uninstall the current DCO application software from your work station, and then go to the server web page (web-client) to download the 8.2 client and install it.
Kind regards

Hi Eduard,
Many thanks for the clarification. It can be reproduced, as you've mentioned, in this case particular case (when we let the client stay logged in during the upgrade), the "Help > About...", as illustrated may display the correct DCO server version, but to see/verify the client we are running, check the "Installation Details" (in Hep > About StruxureWare Data Center Operation)
It is referring to 8.1 client. Re-login with this client should not be possible, I would expect to see the Invalid Client Version notification. It should be required to connect via 8.2 client.
However, I will log an enhancement case, so the coeds could be reviewed. thanks.
Kind regards
