Hello
I need to write a coil register on DCE ddf .xml file.
I found setOid command for writing SNMP Oids on ddf files but I can't find the same command for writing modbus coil registers on modbus ddf files.
Would you please help me find it?
Thanks in advance

Hi Mostafa,
i wiuld caution you against writing your own DDF files. I have seen instances where mis-written DDF files have cause issues with DCE up to and including causing the system to crash or fail to boot.
As for your question on writing to a Modbus register, I am not aware of this being an option for Modbus devices. I will defer to the DDF creation team if they have information they can provide.
Thank you,
Steve.

Hi Mostafa,
While writing values to an SNMP OID is supported for a limited number of applications, unfortunately the only operations supported for Modbus devices are functions 1-4; writes to coils (functions 5, 15) or holding registers (functions 6,16) are not supported in DDFs.

Glenn Martin
