I have a decent number of sensors and monitored devices in DCE, but we are also monitoring equipment with IPMI via DCO. I just don't understand why these tools are not integrated. Why can't i obtain temperature and power data that is known in DCO, in DCE ?
These two tools have been part of APC's offering for a decade or more, its far beyond time for them to be an integrated tool set that allows greater flexibility to customers. Integration does not mean that you can't continue to charge people for features separately, but it gives flexibility.

Hello Eric.
The functionality provided by IT Optimize today, like the ability to discover devices via IPMI will be moved to the Ecostruxure IT Expert gateway. The gateway today supports discovery of some server devices today via redfish protocol, but the coverage for this protocol is not nearly as broad as IPMI. Once in the gateway its expected the information will be much more broad as well as redfish discovery also provides data on most of the servers individual components like memory dimms, disks, power supplies and so on.
A date for this to be completed is not yet set.
Regards
Greg Sterling

If I understand properly, IT Expert Gateway is your software as a service solution. Unfortunately, that solution still does not have adequate EULA information available for me to consider using it. The question (which I have brought up in many venues, including here), is precisely what APC / Schneider intends to be doing with our data - and how that data will be secured, the EULAs address user accounts, not customer data, unless they have been updated in the last few months.
It is clear that one intention is to gather paying customer device utilization, environmental, and alarm data, to improve APC/Schneider's knowledge their own products, but this and other uses are not enumerated in your EULA. It would be highly inappropriate for any such usage to occur without it being very clearly stated and agreed to..

The EULA's were updated in May. They are downloadable from https://ecostruxureit.com/policies/ but I have also pasted their direct links below.
Gateway EULA: https://ecostruxureit.com/wp-content/uploads/CLEAN-EULA-_ROYALTY-FREE-Ecostruxure-IT-SW-Gateway-2019...
ITE Cloud Terms and Conditions: https://ecostruxureit.com/wp-content/uploads/CLEAN-EcoStruxure-IT-BtoB-TC-Cloud-based-Services-20190...
There are other docs on the policies page but I think the above two are more relevant to your comments.

This is helpful.
Painful to read.
but Helpful.
Thank you.
I haven't gotten through all of them yet, but the section I did find about data remains vague .... customer gives authority to "partner" to access data, but says nothing about what the limitations of the use of that data by the "partner" are.
Again, I haven't finished reading every section of each document. Maybe it will be here.
Thanks again
E
