When to use a story instead of a dashboard: I have no idea. Discussion
My colleagues and I were talking about ways to improve our data presentation, speed, etc. All the usual conversations that appear when Tableau folks get together. (You know... sex, drugs, and dynamic parameters, dude...)
Here's the question that we couldn't answer... when would you use a story instead of multiple dashboards? I've done it before, but I haven't ever been pleased with it.
I like that it allows you to condense a multi-view dashboard to a single link.
I dislike just about everything else about it.
What am I missing? Why not just go with the ol' tabbed project option, where at least your filters can be carried from page to page, sizes can be different, and... I don't need to explain this to people in this group.
