What kind of server can support remote on/off on server access?

This question was originally posted on DCIM Support by Chu Li Wei on 2016-09-29

Hi All ,

I tried to discover one server for server access , then the on/off seems disable in the menu bar . please

see attactment .

Just wanna check this concern , does this on/off function must be support Intel victual gateway ?

If so , then DCO will indentify these servers automatically , right ?

Best Regards

You are correct. The on/off functionality depends on the Intel Virtual Gateway. So only if the server is discovered through IPMI and supports the functionality it will be possible to enable.
